This pre-world war II Kellogg Stromberg-Carlson hotel telephone was used to signal a switchboard operator or front desk person.  The cord does have some wear indicative of it's age.  The base is quite heavy and the phone weighs over 4 lbs.  All pieces are original to the telephone.
